For the 2021 season, the Tri-Valley Baseball Association Board has voted to raise program fees in the majority of our divisions this year. This is the first program increase in Many years. This is not something we are doing lightly, but in consideration of current programming costs (equipment, league fees, insurance) need to improve our balance sheet for future programming.
So from the above statement 2 notes:
1) The registration fees we are charging do not, nor have not, covered all of the costs of putting a team on the field. Our Association does not lost money - we have supplemented those losses with fundraising and sponsorship from community organizations. While we will work to increase our fundraising activities and sponsorship activities, we also need to look at our cost of baseball compared to other communities around us that charge more for similar programming.
2) We want to invest in our players and our coaches.
For 2022 we have removed Jersey Deposits - and now at the end of the season most players will get to keep their jersey's. While this is an added cost, we heard overwhelming support for this plan. Jersey distribution and return was always an issue, as well as not having properly sized shirts for the many players.
We will also be buying updated equipment like L Screens and saving towards field improvements.
